Day 29- Do a hair mask!

Day 29 of the 30 Day Challenge for a Happier Quarantine is do a hair mask! Being a hairstylist, one of the best things I could do for my clients was a treatment to replenish dry or damaged hair, or to add shine! People loved that I could offer something that only took 10-20 minutes but could greatly approve the health of their hair. While some of these treatments are strictly "in-salon" only, some of them were also great "take-home" products my clients could do themselves at home.

Here are my fave at-home hair treatments:

  • L'ANZA Keratin Healing Oil Intensive Masque: $46, for dry, damaged hair, this is your high-end hair masque that makes you and your hair feel like a celeb

  • Olaplex No3: $28, all hair types especially chemically overprocessed, rebuilds broken bonds and reconstructs hair strands to soften and repair

  • Brazilian Blowout Acai Deep Conditioning Masque: $35, best for thick, coarse, curly, or frizzy hair, this one will smooth frizz and add intense moisture without weighing hair down

  • L'ANZA Healing Trauma Treatment: $33, best over-all because you can use it in the shower as a deep conditioning treatment, and also as a leave-in on damp hair. Heals damaged hair and protects from further damage caused by chemicals and heat.

What are some of your favorite ways to treat your hair at home? I stay away from DIY hair masques to be honest. I tried the egg white one and I couldn't get it out of my hair, it was a disaster. And putting olive oil or coconut oil on your hair will make it feel soft for a day or two because it's a temporary topical remedy, but not rinsing it all out could result in residue buildup that could also damage your hair further if you apply heat to it (like frying an egg in a skillet of coconut oil...). Food for thought!
