Day 11 of September 30 Day Challenge

Instead of doing a challenge today, I want to just take a moment to reflect on this day. September 11th, 2001, do you remember where you were? Hard to believe it's been 19 years since. Take a moment to remember if you can, and remember those who aren't here today.



This week is also National Suicide Prevention Week.


This year has been a year of incredible challenges for so many of us, so I want you all to just take a moment, to breathe. To know that you are human, and that you're not alone if you are having a tough time coping with some of the challenges we've had to face this year. Know that you take up space. You matter. You are important.


Take care of yourself and those around you. Tell people you love them. Ask how your friends are doing. Smile at a stranger. Do something nice for someone. Fill your lungs with air, and be gentle on yourself. You're human, and we are all just trying to do the best we can, and sometimes if getting out of bed is the only thing you have energy for that day, know that that is okay.



I recently started seeing a counselor over Zoom to cope with the grief of losing my brother unexpectedly this year. Know that it is okay to seek help. It doesn't make you any less of a person. Know that you are allowed to feel your feelings. But please reach out to someone if you are struggling with depression and anxiety. I want you to know it's okay to ask for help. It's okay to say that you're not okay.
